Privacy Policy

1. Purpose
The purpose of this Privacy Policy (hereinafter "the Policy") is to inform Users visiting the Platform of the personal data protection policy implemented by Solo Travelers.
Solo Travelers is committed, within the framework of its activities and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), to ensure the protection, confidentiality and security of personal data of Users, as well as to respect their privacy.

This Charter may be modified at any time in order to comply with any legal, regulatory, jurisprudential, editorial and/or technical developments. Users are advised to refer to the latest version of the Charter available on the Platform before any browsing.

 

2. Collection of personal data by Solo Travelers
When using the Platform, some personal data may be collected with the consent of the User, directly or indirectly by Solo Travelers.

The data concerned are the following:

- Data collected directly:
This is the contact data (Full name/e-mail) that the User fills in directly if he/she wishes to create a User Account.
- Data collected indirectly:

These are cookies that allow us to establish statistics and volumes of attendance on the Platform, the messages that have been sent.

 

3. Purpose of the collection and processing of personal data by Solo Travelers
The purposes of each processing implemented on the Platform of personal data of the User are described and defined at the time of their collection and meet specific needs, legitimate and in accordance with the law.

In case of failure to answer a mandatory information, the User will not be able to use the Platform and the Service.

This information will be collected and used to

- Allow Solo Travelers to know who has sent a message to the general group
- Allow Succeed to know which chapter the User is having the most trouble with
- Allow Succeed to know the frequency of use of the site
- Allow Solo Travelers to understand the amount of traffic on the Platform and in particular to improve the interest, quality and usability of the Platform (cookies)

 

4. Retention Periods for Personal Data
Succeed undertakes to keep the personal data of the Users in accordance with the purposes for the duration strictly necessary for their destination.

Cookies are only kept for a period of 12 (twelve) months and are deleted after that.

 

5. Transmission of Personal Data
Succeed undertakes to take all necessary and appropriate technical precautions to preserve the security, integrity and confidentiality of the data and in particular to prevent it from being distorted, damaged or accessed by unauthorized third parties.

In accordance with the regulations in force, the data may be transmitted to the competent authorities upon request and in particular to public bodies, exclusively to meet legal and regulatory obligations or injunctions, administrative or judicial decisions.

With the User's consent, Succeed staff, Succeed's auditors and Succeed's contractors will have access to the data collected through the use of the Platform.

Cookies are transmitted to Google Analytics whose policy is available on their website: https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/cookies/

If the User does not wish to transmit information to Google Analytics, the User is encouraged to download and install this module in their web browser. It is compatible with Chrome, Internet Explorer 11, Safari, Firefox and Opera. In order to function, this add-on must be able to load and run correctly in the User's browser. For Internet Explorer, the User must enable third-party cookies.

6. Right of access to personal data
The User has the following rights at all times:
– the right to be informed about the data concerning him that Solo Travelers holds and their use
– the right to request the correction of personal data concerning him which is inaccurate, incomplete, ambiguous, or obsolete
the right to request that Solo Travelers delete their data
– the right to withdraw their consent to receive the newsletter and/or oppose the processing of their data
– the right to request that Solo Travelers hand over their data to them or that Solo Travelers transfer them to another service provider
– the right to define directives relating to the fate of his personal data after his death

In order to justify the User's request, Solo Travelers invites the User to justify his request by justifying his full identity and specifying the right that the User wishes to exercise. Solo Travelers undertakes to process the requests made as soon as possible, and to respond to them within a maximum period of one month from receipt of the User's request.

 

7.Cookies
A cookie is a small data file copied to the hard drive of the User's computer by a website. It records information relating to the navigation of the User's computer on a site (such as for example the pages visited or the dates and times of consultation), which can be read during subsequent visits by the User to the platform.

The cookies set up on the Platform are only audience measurement cookies, which allow Solo Travelers to obtain attendance statistics.

The User can refuse or selectively accept the installation of these cookies by configuring his Internet browser. The indications below are given for information only and may be modified by the User's browser. the User is invited to go to the official web page of the browser used or the documentation of the manufacturer of the device used, and to follow the instructions.

By way of example and subject to browser updates, the User can:

On Internet Explorer:

Click Tools at the top of the browser window and select Internet Options.
In the options window, click on the Privacy tab.
To enable cookies, move the slider to Medium or a lower setting.
To disable cookies, place the cursor at the very top to block all cookies.

Firefox:

Click on Tools in the browser menu and select Options.
Select the Privacy pane.
To enable cookies, tick the Accept cookies from the Platform box.
To disable cookies, deselect the Accept cookies from the Platform box.

Chrome:

Click on the wrench icon in the browser toolbar.
Select the Settings option.
Click on Show advanced settings.
In the Privacy section, click on the Content Settings button.
To enable cookies, select Allow local data storage in the cookies section. Proprietary cookies and third-party cookies are then authorized. To only accept first-party cookies, select Block all third-party cookies without exception.
To disable cookies, select Prohibit all sites from storing data in the Cookies section.

Safari:

If necessary, open Safari.
Choose Safari > Preferences, then click Privacy.
In the Block cookies section, indicate whether Safari should accept cookies from the Platform and under what circumstances.
